The following are the steps and expectations in applying for financial assistance for Kindergarten through grade 12. We require all families who would like to be considered for financial assistance to submit the TADS (Tuition Aid Data Service) form. Please read carefully and if you have any questions you may contact us at 651-228-1161 ext. 315
How to Qualify:
- Tuition Aid Data Service: Saint Agnes requires all families seeking financial assistance to fill out the TADS financial aid form. TADS will send Saint Agnes a detailed report of the needs of each family. We will use this report when distributing financial assistance. We will inform each family of the financial assistance awarded by the end of May. TADS forms are available the day of our high school entrance test or from the Financial Aid Office after the first week of December.
Types of Aid:
- Archdiocesan Aid: The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis provides financial assistance to families of high school students who have extreme financial needs. In order to be considered for aid through the Archdiocese, the TADS financial assistance form must be completed and returned to TADS by the end of February for the next school year. If you qualify for Archdiocesan aid, it will be noted on your financial assistance package.
- Saint Agnes Scholarships: There is no formal application for these scholarships. Scholarships will be given to students of families who have submitted a TADS form and who show need and meet the criteria of the scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded based on availability of funds.
- Saint Agnes Grants: Those who have submitted a TADS form may also be eligible for grants. The awarding of grants will be based solely on the information received from TADS and availability of funds.
- Testing Scholarships: Saint Agnes awards a $1,000 scholarship to the top ten percent test scorers on our freshman entrance exam. The exam must be taken at Saint Agnes on the primary testing date. Testing takes place in January before a student's freshman year.
- KidsFirst: KidsFirst is a program for public school students transferring to a private school in grades 1-6. Applications can be picked up in the grade school office after the first week of January for the next school year. Families should notify the Financial Aid Office if they are applying for this program.
- The Ancient Order of Hibernians: The AOH provides a $1500 scholarship to practicing Catholic students in grades 9-12 who have a minimum of 50% Irish heritage, maintain at least a B grade average and who demonstrate financial need. To apply, student must submit an essay entitled "What my Irish Heritage Means to Me." Essays should be no more than 750 words, typed, and submitted to the financial aid office by April 30th.
- St. Joseph’s Academy Scholarships: Students whose mother or grandmother attended St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Paul may be eligible for high school scholarships from the St. Joseph’s Academy Alumni Association. To apply, send a self-addresses stamped envelope to Ms. Rita Ryan, 1450 Bidwell St #102 W. St. Paul, MN 55118

The last page will show your financial assistance package as well as information on reviewing your account on line. In order for your child to be fully registered, your tuition contract must be signed and returned.
